Seymour First Baptist planning Women’s Day

Author Liz Curtis Higgs plans to speak during Women’s Day on Sept. 22 at Seymour First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, Seymour.

This year’s event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and continue through 3 p.m. Tickets are $25, which includes lunch, and may be purchased at the church.

Higgs, who lives in Louisville, is the author of nearly 30 books, with more than 3 million copies in print. Her nonfiction works include “Bad Girls of the Bible,” “Really Bad Girls of the Bible, “Unveiling Mary Magdalene” and “Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible.”

Her newest nonfiction book, “The Girl’s Still Got It,” was released in July.

Higgs also writes contemporary and historical fiction books and children’s books.

The event is open to all women.
