Last summer, the Seymour 11-year-old Little League all-star team went 3-1 in winning the district tournament at Seymour's Kasting Park and then made it to the championship game of the state tournament.
As 12-year-olds, they will look to make another run, as the district tournament begins Friday at Kasting Park.
At 6 p.m., Seymour will open against Bedford. That will be followed by Paoli taking on Franklin. Seymour's other pool games are at 8 p.m. Monday against Paoli, 8 p.m. July 10 against Bartholomew County and 10 a.m. July 12 against Franklin.
The championship game is set for 7 p.m. July 14.
Also playing at Kasting Park is Seymour's 11-year-old all-star team. That squad begins pool play at 4 p.m. Saturday against Bartholomew County.
Seymour's other pool games are at 8 p.m. Wednesday against Franklin and 8 p.m. July 9 against Bedford. The championship is at 2 p.m. July 13.
The other three Seymour teams are playing at Bedford's Wiley Youth Park. The 9- and 10-year-olds are in the same tournament but different pools.
The Seymour 2 team, consisting of 9-year-olds, plays Martinsville at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Its other games are at 6 p.m. July 7 against Bedford and 6 p.m. July 10 against Paoli.
The Seymour 1 team, consisting of 10-year-olds, plays Martinsville at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Bedford at 6 p.m. July 10.
The single-elimination championship segment has semifinal games at 10 a.m. and noon July 12 and the final game at 7 p.m. July 14.
There are only three teams in the 13- and 14-year-old division. Seymour plays Greenwood at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Bedford at 8 p.m. July 7. The championship will be at 7 p.m. July 11.
