To the Editor:
A wonderful journey, with wonderful people.
It has been my privilege, the last 23 years, to become acquainted with and accepted by the remarkable workforce of Seymour Manufacturing Co.
I have watched them work, past and present. I have talked with them, waved at them, laughed with them, sometimes cooked or baked for them, prayed and cried with them. I always felt in awe of their ability to be strong, upright people, willing to work hard, find a way to smile and to make what they make the best it could be, even in the heat.
They have been personable, dedicated, respectable and loyal for all these years.
It has been very appreciated.
Now, ownership and leadership is changing. Both Berl and I trust there is something that will not change. That is, the character of the workers — the solid fiber that binds it all together. They will continue to get better and better.
And they will keep the whistle blowing!
