Seymour National Honor Society inducts members

The newest inductees into the Seymour High School chapter of the National Honor Society recently celebrated their achievements with a balloon launch.


Seymour High School chapter of National Honor Society recognized and inducted 61 members during a ceremony Feb. 25 in the school auditorium.

To be recognized as a member, a student must have a grade-point average of at least 3.7, leadership skills, community service hours, a recommendation from a teacher and good character. The inductees bring the chapter’s total membership to 146.

Those speaking during the induction ceremony included senior and chapter president Adam Davis; junior and chapter vice president Alex Craig; English teacher Brantley Blythe and Principal Greg Prange.

After the speeches, inductees took their turns on the stage.
