Seymour Police soap box derby race set for Sunday

Seymour Police Department’s sixth annual DARE Soap Box Derby/Car Show will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of West Second Street.

Registration and pre-races will begin at noon across from American Legion Post 89, 402 W. Second St.

The event is open to all ages, but contestants are divided into age groups.

Rules for cars may be found online at www.seymourpd.com. For those who don’t have time to build a car, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Seymour High School and the DARE program will have cars available.
