Seymour considers permits, fees for all new pools, fences

Seymour residents soon may have to obtain city approval to install an above-ground pool or fence in their yard.

City planning officials are looking into requiring permits for all pools and fences to prevent people from placing them too close to utilities, property lines and public rights of way.

Currently, the city only requires permits for in-ground pools.
