Seymour council to meet tonight

Seymour Common Council will meet at 7 p.m. today in Council Chambers at city hall, 309 N. Chestnut St.

Council will consider an ordinance adopting a policy of conduct with regard to nepotism in employment with the city and in contracting with the city, hear first readings of resolutions approving an increase in the tax levy for the Cumulative Capital Development Fund, adopting financial software systems and amending city code concerning sewer rates for processing certain types of wastewater.

Council will also consider an ordinance that would rezone 3.64 acres in the 800 block of East Fourth Street Road from residential and commercial to industrial purposes.
