Seymour district staff getting raises

For the first time in at least three years, Seymour Community School Corp. plans to give its employees a raise.

The 3 percent salary increase for all certified teachers and noncertified staff is included in the district’s proposed 2015 budget.

Because student enrollment numbers are up this year by more than 200 students, the schools also have added teaching positions, classroom aides and several part-time custodial positions.
