The Seymour girls cross-country team scored 48 points to easily win Tuesday’s Silver Creek Invitational, while Borden beat Seymour 59-77 for the boys meet title.
County teams Brownstown Central and Trinity Lutheran also competed in the meet. The Brownstown boys placed sixth with 185 points, and the girls were fifth with 145; while Trinity’s boys finished 13th with 366 points, and the girls were sixth with 234.
Zoey Johnson led the Seymour girls with a second-place finish in 19:16, and Madison Hays was fifth in 20:52. North Harrison’s Ashton Bosler won in 19:03.
Brielle Schumpe was Brownstown’s first finisher, placing 19th in 22:49, and Trinity’s Erika Horton was 21st in 22:51.
In the boys meet, Jack Tormoehlen was second in 16:50, and Ian Hensen was ninth in 17:26. North Harrison’s Jonathan Reynolds won in 16:21.
Ryan Franklin led Brownstown by placing 18th in 17:56, and Trinity’s Luke Onken was 30th in 18:29.
