Paxton DeHaven’s senior season of golf this fall at Seymour High School was perhaps her best.
She scored between 65 and 79 in every 18-hole match and kept it in the 30s in nine-hole contests. She also won sectional and placed fourth at regional to earn her second trip to the state finals; earned all-state honors for the second time; was named the Owls’ most valuable player for the fourth time; and finished her career with nine- and 18-hole school records.
While her high school career has come to an end, her days of golf are far from over. She recently finalized her plans to play that sport at the University of Indianapolis, an NCAA Division II school.
