Michigan native, 27, eager to build on tradition of Owls athletics

From players to fans to local businesses, everyone will be a part of the Seymour High School football program.

Michigan native Josh Shattuck, 27, shared that message Wednesday night shortly after the Seymour Community Schools board of trustees unanimously approved his hiring as the SHS head football coach and social studies teacher for the 2013-14 school year. Around 150 people attended the meeting.

“Our motto for the program is ‘piece of the puzzle,’” Shattuck said. “Every single one of us in the community is a piece of the puzzle. Everyone needs to be a piece of the puzzle in order for us to get where we need to go.”
