Seymour honors season’s top wrestlers

Throughout his senior season of wrestling, Matthew Ruddick not only focused on his own improvements on the mat, but he made sure his Seymour High School teammates were getting better, too.

Even though his high school career came to an end at the semistate in mid-February, Ruddick has been in the wrestling room helping others and working on his craft.

That dedication was noticed by first-year head coach Todd Weaver and his staff, and during Tuesday night’s awards banquet in the SHS wrestling room, Ruddick received the most valuable wrestler award.
