A Seymour man was arrested after stabbing his brother Friday night, police said.
Robert L. Cross, 62, of Seymour was booked into jail at Brownstown at 9:57 p.m. Friday on charges of attempted murder and criminal recklessness with a weapon, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said.
Melvin Cross, 65, of Seymour was taken to the Schneck Medical Center emergency room in Seymour around 8:30 p.m. with what doctors said appeared to be multiple stab wounds to his chest, Officer Mark Holt reported. The hospital reported the stabbing to police.
Melvin Cross was treated at Schneck before being flown to an Indianapolis hospital for further treatment. A condition was not available Sunday.
Detective Bob Lucas said the injuries to Melvin Cross did not appear to be life-threatening, however.
