A 58-year-old Jackson County man accused of beating his wife to death with a baseball bat in April 2011 recently received a 35-year prison term.

Terry L. Wade of Seymour received that sentence from Senior Judge William Vance on Nov. 27 after he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter with a deadly weapon, which is a Class A felony.

None of the sentence was suspended although Wade did receive 948 days credit and another 948 days of credit for the time he has spent in jail since the death of his wife, 54-year-old Vicky S. Wade.
