Seymour pair to participate at Sugar Bowl

Once companions on the field at Seymour High School, two former Owls have the opportunity to march together one last time — but this time on a much bigger stage during the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Four years ago, Aaron Coomer was a senior marching band member with the Band of the Owls. He and freshman marching band member Spencer Kindred quickly became friends.

“They’ve been friends since they’ve been in it,” said Becky Grelle, Coomer’s mother.

Coomer graduated and went to the University of Louisville, so the friends’ opportunities to march together seemed to be over.
