Seymour player has big expectations for travel team

Two years ago, Emily Bobb and the Lady Jets travel softball team placed 13th in the USFA World Series in Orlando, Fla.

Last year, they broke into the top 10.

This year, the team switched its name to Indiana Select, and it once again made the World Series. Indiana Select is one of 63 teams competing in the 16U A division this week in Panama City Beach, Fla.

“Every year we go, we just try to place better than we did before,” said Bobb, who will be a junior at Seymour High School in the upcoming school year. “Last year, we were working to get in the top 10. So this year, hopefully top five. Obviously we want to win, but hopefully top five this year.”
