As tough as the competition was and as well-known as Brownstown Speedway is, Tyler Cain considers winning the 2012 track championship in the Super Stocks division a pretty big accomplishment.
The 25-year-old from Seymour won four features at Brownstown. Going into the last race, he had to make the feature race and place strong. He wound up third and locked up the first title of his career.
“It’s one of the toughest competition tracks around this area,” Cain said. “It’s nationally known, and they always say, ‘If you can win at Brownstown, you can win anywhere.’ It’s just got a lot of history about it. There’s a lot of big-name drivers that have come from Brownstown that have gone to the national level and different series.”
Cain said that for the past seven or eight years he has competed in the Super Stocks. His previous best finish in the points was fourth.
