Based on performances from last year, Seymour gymnast Sam Silver knew she needed to work on her floor exercise routine.
So during the offseason, she worked and worked to be ready for the Owls’ season-opener. That was supposed to have been earlier this month, but winter weather forced the postponement of that meet and two others.
On Thursday night at Gymnastics Lane, Silver finally got to show off how much she had improved, and she got the results she wanted. Her 8.775 was a career-best score and gave her first place.
