Scott Miller was given the choice to resign from his position as head coach of the Seymour High School boys basketball team or be fired.

But during the 2012-13 season when the Owls went 2-19, Miller said his players didn’t give up and he appreciated their effort and attitude, and he wasn’t going to give up on them.

So he chose not to resign, and Tuesday night the Seymour Community Schools board of trustees unanimously approved the firing of Miller.
