Seymour woman arrested on welfare fraud charges



A woman accused of receiving $16,264 in unemployment benefits at the same time she was working for an automobile parts manufacturer has been arrested.

Casey N. McCoy, 31, of Seymour, faces felony charges of theft and welfare fraud as the result of a six-month investigation, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

She was arrested Sunday by county officer Scott Davis and Holli Camp, an investigator with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
