United We Stand will conduct a silent auction in the Brownstown Central High School cafeteria from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday before the Brownstown Central-Seymour High School football game. Proceeds will benefit continuing efforts of promoting anti-bullying education to Jackson County students and communities. United We Stand, an outgrowth of Leadership Jackson County class project, encourages Jackson County communities to come to Brownstown Central High School’s cafeteria to participate in the auction, have a meal sponsored by the Band Boosters and then go to the football game. Items to be auctioned include a four-burner propane grill, an automatic blood pressure monitor, a three-piece pliers set and a spice basket. Cost of the meal is $5 for a sandwich (fish, tenderloin or hot dog), slaw, chips, drink and dessert. Kids meal is $4 for hot dog, chips, drink and dessert. Sandwiches alone are $3.50; hot dog alone is $1.
Proceeds from the meal benefit Brownstown Band Boosters.
