The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department is getting another start on a long-anticipated project to build a skate park in the city.
Jeff Vance, parks and rec director, said he met Wednesday with engineer Jim Wayman, councilman Brian D’Arco and project advocate Matt Nicholson to devise a plan of how to get the park built.
“We are going over the original plans and have an idea of how we can phase it into a base bid and four alternate bids,” Vance said. “I appreciate the patience and understanding of everyone involved. This project has taken years, and it’s time to get it done.”
