Work has wrapped up on the first phase of a skate park at Shields Park in Seymour. There will be a ribbon-cutting for the venue at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

It might be too snowy and cold to use now, but Seymour’s long-awaited skate park officially will be dedicated Tuesday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 4 p.m. that day at the skate park on the south side of Shields Park.

Contractors from Bateman Builders began pouring the concrete at the end of October and recently finished the work.
