Slick roads tie up traffic; more snow to come

Jackson County roads remained snow-covered and slick Friday, and there’s a chance of more blowing snow this weekend.

Sheriff Mike Carothers said motorists found roads hazardous across the county, including all along Interstate 65 and U.S. 50 west of Medora.

“They’re not good,” Carothers said of area roads. “We had four semitrailers stuck (on U.S. 50) going up the knobs near the Medora junction, and we’ve had several accidents on U.S. 50 between Brownstown and Seymour.”
