Sorority offering educational grants



Gerri Lucas with the Theta Zeta Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority recently announced the sorority will give $15,000 in educational grants for specialized training in guidance and counseling.

Grants are awarded to students at the graduate level, based on their scholastic ability and financial need.

Anyone interested in applying may write to: Delta Theta Tau Sorority Inc., Philanthropy Committee Chairman, 500 S. Colfax St., Martinsville, IN 46151-2309. A stamped, self-addressed envelope must accompany all requests for application.

Applications are reviewed by the sorority’s philanthropy committee in February each year. Applications for the 2013 summer session or the 2013-14 academic year must be postmarked no later than Dec. 10.

Delta Theta Tau Sorority has been associated with this project since 1959 and has given $608,652 to 692 students throughout the United States.
