MEDORA — For a good part of the 2011 season, as a sophomore, Nick Stahl was the only underclassman in the top five for the Brownstown Central High School boys golf team.

There were four seniors on the team who were solid scorers, and Stahl proved to be a reliable fifth golfer.

This spring, those four guys were gone and Stahl held down the No. 1 spot throughout the season. First-year coach Brandon Allman thought the junior did a good job of taking on that role, and he was selected as this year’s most valuable player.
