Are you ready for some volleyball?
I know I am, especially after the postseason runs that Jackson County high school teams had in the fall of 2011.
Trinity Lutheran won back-to-back sectional and regional titles before becoming the school’s first team to win a semistate crown. The sixth-ranked Cougars then fell to No. 3 Wes-Del in three sets in the Class A state finals match.
Seymour battled through a tough sectional and won for the first time since 1999, and then it won its first regional since 1998 on its home court. Also at home, the Owls knocked off Shelbyville in the semifinals of semistate before losing to top-ranked Avon.
