Storms delay schools; no serious damage reported

Jackson County escaped the brunt of a series of storms that rumbled through much of the state Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

The sheriff’s department reported four calls about trees knocked down by strong winds. Seymour Police Department received no such calls.

The weather did cause a two-hour delay for Crothersville Community Schools. Robert Mahan said the threat of flash flooding in low areas prompted the delay.
