Police used stun guns to arrest a 21-year-old Jackson County man involved in a police chase early Sunday morning in Brownstown.

Brent T. Bush of Brownstown faces preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated, criminal mischief, battery on a police officer and leaving the scene of a property-damage wreck, according to Brownstown Police Officer John Long's report.

A test showed Bush's blood alcohol content was 0.278, police said. That's more than three times the 0.08 percent level at which a person can be arrested in Indiana for drunken driving.

Bush also faces two counts of resisting law enforcement and was cited for four counts of disregarding a stop sign, three counts of failing to use a turn signal, reckless driving and speeding, Long said.
