Karla Hubbard receives a flu shot every year.
The Seymour resident, who is the administrative medical assistant at Jackson County Health Department, said the tiny sting of the needle is worth avoiding a week in bed with a fever, headache and cough, or worse.
“If you ever really had the flu, you would get a flu shot,” Hubbard said. “You don’t realize how sick you are until you get it.”
