Tim and Melissa Shunney of Seymour have an impressive record of safety, demonstrating both knowledge and skill when it comes to driving a school bus.

For their efforts, they’ve earned two first-place finishes in the annual Indiana School Bus Safety Rodeo in 2012 and 2013, and came in eighth place at the national event in Texas last March.

The Shunneys compete as a two-person team in the special needs division, which tests their ability to efficiently load, transport and unload students with various physical and mental disabilities.
