A perfect regular season, a coach’s milestone, a record-setting quarterback and a sectional championship were among the Brownstown Central High School football team’s highlights.

The success of the Braves program is The Tribune’s top Jackson County high school sports story for 2013.

In the regular season, the Braves won the Jackson Bowl game against county rival Seymour 57-8, recorded two shutouts and claimed the Mid-Southern Conference title with a 7-0 mark.
