Tennis sectional set to begin at Seymour

While Austin may have experience on its side with five seniors, Seymour’s boys tennis team feels the level of competition it plays during the season should help going into Wednesday’s Seymour Sectional opener.

The host Owls will face the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. for that day’s only match. Then on Thursday, Trinity Lutheran will meet the winner of that match, and Brownstown Central will play Scottsburg.

“We’re definitely going to need all five positions to play well,” Owls coach Brad Emerson said. “I feel that we probably on the average play a tougher schedule, so that should help us prepare for sectional time. It really is going to come down to who wants their respective match more.”
