Brownstown
A rural Seymour man received tentative approval this week from the county to sell guns from his home.
James Murphy of East County Road 100 South is asking the county to grant a special exception to allow for the business at his residence, which sits on a 3.56-acre lot in Washington Township south of Seymour.
Jackson County Plan Commission gave a favorable recommendation to Murphy’s request Tuesday during its meeting at the courthouse annex. The request also requires approval from the county Board of Zoning Appeals.
