Authorities are searching for a second person in connection with several cases of counterfeit money being distributed in Columbus and surrounding areas.

One arrest in the case was made early Tuesday, when authorities apprehended Michael G. Orr at his Columbus residence. But police now also are searching for Garry P. Moore, 63, formerly of Hope. Moore, who has had prior convictions on drug offenses, could be armed and should be considered dangerous, said Columbus Police spokesman Lt. Matt Myers.

Moore was the subject of a search south of Scipio early Tuesday morning. As a SWAT team from Columbus looked for Moore at a home off Jennings County Road 600N, another team of officers was arresting Orr, 56, at his home on McKinley Avenue.
