’Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the Fieldhouse
The Pacers were not dribbling
Not even a bounce.
Oh, that was so 2011.
Now, last season’s prolonged NBA lockout seems a distant memory.
Can it really be that players and owners fought so stridently about issues that now appear so far removed?
Despite the mutual pleas of poverty, both sides have emerged from the shortened season without the bankruptcy of the league or players having to take a second job to put food on the table.
