Sitting in my living room, I was enjoying the stillness of the fresh, new morning.
Since everyone else was still in bed, I was alone with my thoughts and God. Yes, God was in the room with me. I did not see him, but he was there. I believed he was there because he said, “I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20)
My thoughts turned to the other things that were with me in the room. I felt a tickle on my sockless foot. It was an ant scampering across my skin. After disposing of it in the wastebasket, I returned to my easy chair. God was still there. I thought about the other things in room, including things invisible.
