With the baseball and softball diamonds and the track all in the same area behind Crothersville High School, two-sport spring athletes can be seen going from one practice to another.
It was more of a challenge, however, for someone like Patrick Sweazy, who played baseball and golf. That’s because he practiced baseball at the school and then had to drive to Scottsburg for golf practices.
“I would come to baseball right after school until 4:30 or 5 o’clock, and then I go down and golf, and sometimes I would be home at 7 or 8 o’clock at night,” Sweazy said. “I wanted to do track, too, but my freshman year, they told me I would have to pick two sports, that I couldn’t do all three.”
