The Crothersville Tigers scored the first seven points of Friday night’s boys basketball game against Cannelton, built its lead to 18-3 at the end of the first quarter and rolled all the way to a 63-46 homecoming victory.
“We kind of got flat in the second quarter. We had a little lull,” Tigers head coach Greg Kilgore said. “I think a little of it was a two-week layoff. It’s hard for kids to sit out two weeks. It kind of got me a little bit because we practiced really well this week.
“It’s a different environment when you come out in front of a crowd,” he added. “Hopefully, we can take what we got at the end of the third quarter and in the fourth quarter and carry it over to (tonight) at Southwestern.”
