Town Council tells man to keep dogs restrained

A Brownstown man was ordered to keep his dogs restrained whenever they are allowed outside or face losing the animals.

The Town Council took that action this week against James Reynolds of the 1300 block of West Commerce Street after the dogs were accused of attacking a woman who lives two doors away from Reynolds on March 19.

Town Marshal Tom Hanner said a police report of the incident showed that Marsha Hall-Gomez was walking her animal on a leash when Reynolds’ male and female American bulldogs attacked.

Reynolds’ female dog has been held at the town dog pound since the incident while Reynolds was allowed to take the male home.
