BROWNSTOWN

Brownstown Central’s track and field teams racked up the points in Thursday’s annual three-team meet featuring two other Jackson County teams.

The Brownstown boys won every event and scored 138 points, while Medora was second with 17, and Crothersville had 10.

Brownstown’s girls tallied 101 points, and Crothersville was second with 48, which was one of its best showings in recent years. Medora scored 11.

Rob Fox and Jacob Wilson were among the standout underclassmen for the Brownstown boys team. Fox edged Crothersville’s Jarrod Royalty in both hurdle races, won the 100-meter dash and helped the 400 relay team win. Wilson won long jump, high jump, the 200 and ran the third leg of the 400 relay.
