Travel emergency declared

Jackson County Board of Commissioners has issued a Level III travel advisory.

That means because of current weather conditions, motorists should use caution or avoid all travel throughout the county, Duane Davis of the county emergency management office said.

Jackson County is expected to receive up to 13 inches of snow Wednesday.

A mix of rain, ice and snow has been falling since about 1 a.m.
