Trick-or-treaters plan pantry food collection

Brownstown Central High School’s student council will be trick-or-treating for canned goods from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in several housing additions in the community.

Canned goods collected will be given to Anchor House, a homeless shelter in Seymour that also operates a food pantry.

The housing additions to be visited include Buena Vista, Shake Addition, both the old and new Lucas and Ackerman subdivisions, Wayman Addition, the High Street and Elm Street additions and the Poplar Cove addition along with Ashland Street.

The council also will accept canned goods for residents not living in those additions. Those donations may be taken to the main office at the school through Thursday.
