As one of three ranked Class A volleyball teams in its pool in Saturday’s Barr-Reeve Invitational, Trinity Lutheran had its hands full.
The fifth-ranked Cougars first faced an unranked 2A team, Perry Central, and lost the first set 25-19 before bouncing back with wins of 25-12 and 15-11, handing the Commodores their first loss of the season.
Trinity then met top-ranked Indianapolis Lutheran and fell behind midway through the first set and couldn’t recover, and that carried into the second set, as the Cougars lost 25-15, 25-9.
They then suffered a 25-12, 25-18 to third-ranked Barr-Reeve.
