Trinity Lutheran golfer maintains focus to excel

Zach Spicer, The Tribune/ Trinity Lutheran senior Cassidy Prentice tees off on the fifth hole as coach Greg Personett looks on during a home match at Seymour Country Club.

From teeing off on the first hole to making a putt on the last hole, Cassidy Prentice said it’s important to be mentally focused so you can do your best on the golf course.

“People think golf is an easy sport,” the Trinity Lutheran High School senior said. “But it really isn’t because you have to think about everything, like your next step and what it’s going to be, like what club to use and how you’re going to accomplish getting the ball in the hole.”

Prentice began playing golf for the Cougars as a junior last fall.
