The Trinity Lutheran girls basketball team honored its three senior players Thursday night, and coach Mike Lang put them in the starting lineup.

The Cougars got off to a slow start against Edinburgh, falling behind 6-0. However, it all changed when Allison Posey hit a 3-pointer at 4:03 to cap off the Cougars’ 12-0 run. That gave them the lead for good, and they won the game 60-47.

“We had some different players out there in different positions, and it was a different look,” Lang said.

“Plus, the kids came out of the locker room in a sorrow situation being Senior Night presentations, so we did get off to a slow start. We got things moving in the right direction, and I was proud of the way they came out and got shooting in once we got in the flow.”
