Trinity girls win battle of Cougars



The Trinity Lutheran and South Decatur girls basketball teams kept it close throughout Saturday's game.

Host Trinity led 13-6 after one quarter, 26-21 at halftime and 42-36 going into the fourth quarter before holding on for a 59-55 victory.

Brianna Sons scored a season-high 20 points to lead Trinity (12-4), while Mariah Nolan had 15 points, and Sydney Stuckwisch completed a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
