Kelly Stuckwisch has climbed up the tennis ladder at Trinity Lutheran High School, and she said each step has become more challenging.
As a sophomore, she played No. 3 singles. Last spring, she played No. 2 singles. And this year, she is at No. 1 singles.
“Every year, the competition gets harder,” she said. “Going from No. 3 to No. 2, you could see a slight difference. Going from No. 2 to No. 1 is a big difference. The girls are more consistent. They hit harder shots. If you’re No. 1, you’re pretty good.”
