INDIANAPOLIS — An NCAA Division II women's basketball monthly newsletter has the University of Indianapolis ranked No. 4 in the nation in its preseason poll.

The Women's Division II Bulletin also tabbed its Super 16 selections, and that includes Greyhounds senior Kristin Turner, a 2009 graduate of Seymour High School.

It's the second time in three years that the Greyhounds have nabbed a top-10 preseason spot from the Bulletin.

Turner was the Greyhounds' leading scorer last winter when they won 19 games and made their fourth NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in the past five years.

Last season, Turner averaged 19.4 points per game to lead the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and she earned all-region and all-GLVC first team honors. Her 581 points tied the program's single-season record, and her 76 3-pointers was a school record.

The Greyhounds open the 2012-13 season on Nov. 10 at home against Lake Superior State.
