Indiana Department of Transportation will make a second round of emergency pavement repairs on U.S. 50 at the Storm Creek bridge beginning at 5 a.m.Thursday.
The highway will be closed between 5 and 6 a.m.
Part of repairs made earlier in the week failed to hold, Harry Maginity of the agency's Seymour District office said Wednesday afternoon.
Pavement failure at the Storm Creek bridge — which is being reconstructed along with the bridge at Mutton Creek as part of the U.S. 50/North Vernon Bypass Project — prompted repairs two nights ago to correct the situation.
Traffic crossing the Storm Creek bridge continues to be restricted to one-lane-at-a-time controlled by a timed signal.
